The phrase ‘satellite mobile phone’ appears in both codes, which suggests that future versions of these smartphones may support satellite communication.

Remember that OnePlus has not yet officially announced any variant of OnePlus 12 that supports satellite connectivity. If the reports are true, then such a variant is likely to be launched by the end of this year. The handset with satellite connectivity can also be launched outside China. Currently, no Android smartphone outside China supports satellite connectivity.

With the latest Android 15 release, Google has confirmed that the new Android will support satellite connectivity. This will help users who are out of range of the local network.
